Innovators: Cagla Tokgoz

Cagla Tokgoz draws inspiration from the beauty and vastness of the world around her and her own personal experiences. Through her art, she seeks to spark imagination and explore themes such as love, identity, environment, and conflict in a unique and thought-provoking way. Drawing inspiration from some of the greatest artists of all time, including Salvador Dali, Pablo Picasso, Gustav Klimt, Caude Monet, and more, her unique style blends abstract, surreal, contemporary, and renaissance elements to create stunning works that incorporate cutting-edge designs and storytelling. Through her art, Cagla seeks to connect with others on a meaningful level by sharing her vision of the world and encouraging others to seek out their own truth through their own creative interpretations. Each of her pieces tell several stories at the same time. They give viewers a mini puzzle, challenging them to figure out how many possible interpretations they can spot. She hopes that her work will inspire others to explore their own emotions, hopes, and desires with an open mind and open heart, always seeking out new opportunities for growth and self-expression. 

Cagla proudly comes from a family of recognized artists that have collectively participated in over 50 galleries, including Kubra Goren and Tuba Tokgoz. Her family inspired her to express herself through art ever since she was a toddler.  Throughout all her childhood and teenage years, Cagla was exposed to different cultures and artistic traditions, which greatly influenced her work. By the time Cagla was 18, she had traveled to over 30 countries and most US states, absorbing inspiration from the people and places she encountered along the way. From first grade to her senior year in high school, she attended different international schools around the world, including in Switzerland, France, and New York, giving her a unique perspective on the world and artistic expression. She pursued her passion for art all throughout her education, from taking college art classes during high school to eventually earning a both a double degree in Bachelor of Arts and a minor in business.  Her majors include [communication and culture] and [digital technologies and emerging media], with a minor in marketing. Currently, she lives in NYC to continue her education, stating "education is power, you can never get enough of it. Everyone has something new they can teach you". 

Cagla's art reflects her passion for experimentation and exploration, pushing the boundaries of traditional luxury art by creating NFT pieces that truly stand out from the crowd. Whether she's working with vibrant colors, expressive brushstrokes, or intricate patterns, Cagla's work always exudes elegance and sophistication. With each new project, Cagla strives to push herself to new heights to create truly exceptional works of art. She believes that art has the power to bring joy to people's lives, and she works tirelessly to bring this joy to as many people as possible through her incredible creations. Above all else, Cagla strives to use her art to connect with others across cultures and borders. Cagla's future goals include continuing to dedicate herself to perfecting her skills and exploring new artistic techniques, collaborating with companies, organizations, and artists that inspire her, and spreading joy through her art.
